Challenge:
Phone orders go to the outlets directly. At the evening peak, staff are serving the counter, so the phone rings out.
Across the group the phone lines take around 900 calls in the busiest hour. The drop off rate was unoptimal.
The group wanted a line that answers standard queries like taking orders and pass on anything un-solveable to customer support.
What we did:
→ Added three Voice AI Developers through a dedicated staff augmentation engagement
→ Built the agent on LiveKit with streaming speech recognition and speech synthesis
→ Put it on the existing numbers, so callers dial as before
→ Handled interruption, so a caller can talk over the agent mid-sentence
